Music lovers are on for a treat come August 1st and August 2nd, courtesy of Penya Africa at Safaricom’s Michael Joseph Centre. The latest Sauti Academy class is set to graduate and stage an end of term concert.
Sauti Academy is designed to nurture and grow musically talented vocalists through a one year training program where they learn about vocal techniques, songwriting and music business.
The end term concert will feature the 1st term class showcasing a cover and a battle song in duets. It will also feature the 2nd term class who have just undergone an intensive songwriting term. Each singer will showcase 2 of his/her own compositions.
Penya Africa is home to Sauti Sol, Elani and Kiu and it can only result in one awesome concert if they nurture the students the same way they did with these great musicians.
Tickets to the Genesis go for Kshs. 400 advance and Kshs. 500 at the Gate.
