The Sportpesa Tujiamini Cheza Dimba tournament will arrive in the South Rift region on Saturday, November 15th at the William Ole Ntimama Stadium.
This leg of the tournament features a lineup of eight regional teams, all vying to make their mark and advance toward the national finals.
The men’s competition will see six determined teams take to the pitch:
- Maa FC
- Sita Rangers FC
- Zoo FC
- Konoin FC
- Namanga River FC
- Father Ntaiya FC
In a much-anticipated women’s showdown, the event will feature a spirited South Rift derby between Maasai Queens FC and NYS Starlets Gilgil.
Speaking ahead of the fixtures, Maa FC Captain Dennis Naimoru expressed deep gratitude and optimism, highlighting the significance of the platform.
“We want to thank SportPesa for bringing Cheza Dimba to Narok. Last year, we played in a regional tournament with many challenges. We supported ourselves through our own funds and well-wishers. It has been a struggle, but we are determined to win. Our fans should be assured that we will carry this home.”
Complementing the thrilling football action, celebrated artist Papaa Masai will headline the entertainment lineup, injecting the day with his signature Maasai-inspired sound and powerful energy for the Narok crowd.
Deborah Maina, Public Relations and Advertising Executive for SportPesa, articulated the broader mission of the initiative.
“Cheza Dimba is more than a football tournament; it is a platform for self-belief and opportunity. Through Tujiamini, we continue to bridge communities across Kenya, giving talented youth a chance to shine, connect, and inspire. Narok is a proud footballing county, and we are delighted to bring the South Rift leg here.”
The South Rift tournament builds on the proven success of previous editions held across Central, Western, North Rift, North Eastern, Eastern, Coast, Nairobi, and Nyanza. Recent champions, including Bondo United and Magina Starlets (Nyanza), and Mseto FC and Achievers FC (Nairobi), exemplify the rising talent that the Tujiamini Cheza Dimba platform nurtures.
SportPesa has committed a total of Ksh. 30 Million to this year’s Tujiamini initiative. They have already supported over 430 beneficiaries across sports, creative ventures, and social impact projects, in addition to fifteen grassroots football teams across Kenya.
National applications for the Tujiamini award categories (Gold, Silver, and Bronze) are currently open for those seeking support here tujiamini.co.ke/apply
