QNET donates food worth Ksh. 450,000 to Tree House Children’s Home in Nairobi

QNET has donated foodstuff including rice, beans, maize floor, cooking oil, soft drinks and water worth over Ksh. 450,000 (USD 4,500) to Tree House Children’s Home in Ruaraka, Nairobi. The donation was made in honour of the holy month of Ramadan and was made in various countries that the company operates in.

The Ramadan CSR is an annual campaign by QNET to  help enhance the lives of many less fortunate families and children, by providing them with necessities such as food, drinks and financial assistance for educational and humanitarian purposes.

In Senegal, Cameroon, Tanzania, Kenya, Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Togo, Guinea, Ivory Coast and Ghana, QNET donated bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, assorted drinks, toiletries and money to orphanages, Muslim communities, educational charities and the charity offices of Chief Imams.

Biram Fall, QNET’s Regional General Manager for sub-Saharan Africa, when commenting on the QNET Ramadan CSR this year, said: “QNET has been consistent over the years. The Ramadan charity campaign is one of the ways we reach out to society to help people. As we make progress in our business, we believe in spreading the joy and fulfilment that come with it. It is indeed a very meaningful, heart-warming and fulfilling initiative for QNET. It empowers people, demonstrates love to communities and is also inspiring for our staff and our Independent Representatives, as they become personally involved in enriching the lives of others. Our business objective is all about creating opportunities for people, making lives better and empowering people to help them live an absolute life. We call that Absolute living.”

Last year, the Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility West Africa awarded QNET as the E-Commerce CSR Company of the Year for its commitment to helping society and creating positive change.
