Telkom Kenya has launched free zones where its pre-paid customers will be able to make free calls 24 hours a day. The free calls only apply to Telkom to Telkom calls.
To be able to make the free calls, all a customer needs to do its activate their Telkom line with as little as Ksh. 50. They will then able to make free calls to a Telkom number in a Telkom Free Zone.
The Telkom Free Zones are in Kisumu, Siaya, Homabay, South Nyanza, Machakos, Muranga, Nyahururu, Eldoret, Cherangany and Turbo.
Calls made to other networks will still be charged at the prevailing Pay As You Go (PAYG) rate of KSh 3.30 per minute.
