Yesterday, the ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru unveiled  the sponsors for the 2018 Connected Summit. Telkom Kenya was revealed to be the title sponsors for this year’s Connected Summit.  Other partners include Atlancis Technologies, Safaricom, Cellulant, Liquid Telkom, Huawei, Dell, Intel among other. Over 1,000 delegates from across East Africa are expected to attend the event which will be going down at the Bomas of Kenya as from 22nd – 24th October 2018.

Connected Kenya Summit has for the last 10 years been the foremost melting pot for top corporate executives and policymakers in the ICT industry. The conference brings together industry thought leaders to engage on emerging trends and innovations in the country’s ICT space.

Speaking during the launch, ICT CS Joe Mucheru, had this to say, “Our focus for Connected 2018 is the Big 4 Agenda. Technology has a significant role to play in the Big 4 and I look forward to seeing how we can innovate across manufacturing, healthcare, housing and food security.”

Kris Senanu, Managing Director, Enterprise Business at Telkom Kenya had this to say, “We are delighted to be part of this initiative which aligns with our vision to connect the people that make Kenya move by providing our customers with the best value for a simpler life, efficient business and stronger communities.”

As part of the summit there will be 2018 Connected ICT Innovation Awards. These awards seek to celebrate Kenyan entrepreneurs who have created ICT solutions. Since the inaugural awards which were held back in 2011, over 45 ICT products and services have won.
