Majid Al Futtaim, operators of the Carrefour chain, has announced that it will open a third store at Thika Road Mall. They will take over the retail space previously occupied by Nakumatt supermarket.
The new store will cover over 5000 square metres selling area and will cover two floors of the mall. Both floors are expected to be fully operational by mid 2018. It brings the total number of Carrefour stores operated by Majid Al Futtaim, to 210 across 15 markets.
The opening of the new branch is also expected to boost the staff employment count at Carrefour in Kenya to 800, with 600 already working at the other two branches located at The Hub in Karen and the Two Rivers Mall.
