Unless you’re a loner and are always holed up at home, you will always be in the path of a potential partner. Everywhere you go there is a chance of meeting the love of your life. There is love at the gym, at places of worship, at the park and virtually everywhere where people are to be found. Supermarkets too and for some daring few, even the office is a place where you can meet and hook up with a partner. There is also the internet where people meet virtually, arrange for physical meetings and some eventually end up in long term relationships. But a lot of romance stories still start in the old fashioned way of girl meets boy and falls in love. So, once you see a girl you’re attracted to, how do you approach her?
Approaching a woman you’re interested in and creating conversation and rapport is not an easy thing to do for most guys because there is always the fear of rejection or adverse reaction from the subject. What we see in the movies is that a guy identifies a girl, walks over to her and they get chatting right away. How we wish it was that easy in real life. There may be people who have it easy but the average guy usually will have to work a little harder to draw the attention of the girl he has his sights on. He will have to gather enough courage to deal with whatever comes forth from his quest.
So if you’re approaching a girl, first of all you would have to prepare yourself both mentally and physically. Be at your best looking and as presentable as can be. Looking haggard and untidy will not work any good for you. You have to be clean and with clean fresh breath otherwise you will be an instant put off before you even say much. Dress appropriately for your potential girlfriend. You should aim to strike a balance between fun and serious. Your potential date will get the impression that you are a good balance between work and fun times. This does not mean that you cannot approach her if you’re coming from the office. It is all well to show your serious side too. Smell good. Do not go to the extent of dousing yourself in overwhelming cologne; just a hint for a classy whiff when you get near her.
