The battle line for affordable smartphones has been drawn with mobile companies trying to create the cheapest smartphones for the market. From the Intel Yolo to the Huawei W3, this devices come with either windows mobile or android and deciding which to use might be a hustle for consumers.

The android platform is the most used and also the most robust with lots of apps to chose from. It is also found in more smartphones being an open source operating system.

I feel like the Windows mobile has a bit more finesse as compared to the android operating system. The fact that they decided to have the url at the bottom when surfing is one of those small details that put a smile on your face.

Some of the differences include

– Android supports multiple languages, but language support is limited in Windows Phone.

– Android is open source and free for everyone who want to use in their hardware. Windows Phone must be licensed for every device.

– *Touch screens for Windows Phones and Android devices are finger friendly. Windows mobile was Stylus centric but Windows phone was built from the ground up for touch.

– Android device uses modern browser optimized for mobile lay out. Pocket Internet Explorer is present in Windows Phone. Web browsing in Android devices is easier than Windows Phones.

– Android allows different parties to update and enhance OS. Microsoft alone provides updates and OS enhancement.

Choosing the best of the two is kinda difficult as each have their own set of fans. I shall thus leave the choice to you on whichever you feel suits you best.
