I respect Highlands for the fact that they are able to provide standardized services across their branches.
Highlands is a really great place to have a nicely prepared African meal but customers have to contend with the fact that it is popular and hence crowded especially during lunch and dinner. Many times customers may have to share tables with strangers despite the fact that there is extensive sitting space in each of the branches. I also think that the quality of food has gone down over time because of the many people who stream into the restaurants at different times of the day. This is partly a blessing since a customer can always be sure to get fresh food each time they visit. The management and staff are friendly and the one time I lodged a complaint about my plate of chips I got a replacement immediately.
