The Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) has officially announced its sponsorship of staff member Linet Ayuko for the upcoming WRC Safari Rally 2026.
KPC presented a Ksh. 500,000 sponsorship cheque to Ms. Ayuko, who is set to take on the grueling Naivasha terrain as a navigator. Competing alongside driver Pauline Shegu, Ayuko will represent both the company and the nation in one of the most iconic and demanding event on the World Rally Championship calendar.
“KPC remains committed to fostering a culture that supports employee growth beyond the workplace while continuing to invest in initiatives that position Kenya as a hub for international events,” the company stated during the presentation.
The 2026 Safari Rally, scheduled for March 12th–15th, holds a unique geographical significance for the company. Notably, four rally stages are situated directly along KPC’s Right of Way (ROW) in Naivasha.
KPC’s involvement extends beyond the track to support the wider tourism and hospitality sectors:
- Accommodation: The Morendat Training and Conference Centre in Naivasha will open its doors to spectators, providing a hub for fans and enhancing local participation.
- Economic Impact: By leveraging its facilities, KPC is actively boosting the regional economy during the high-traffic rally window.
