Sarah Wahogo has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Username Investment Limited, effective 4th March, 2024. She replaces Reuben Kimani, who will be transitioning to the role of Board Chair after serving as CEO at Username for close to a decade.
Prior to her appointment, Sarah served as the CEO of Safaricom Investment Cooperative. She has also previously served as a Finance Manager at Username Investment Limited.
Wahogo has over 18 years’ experience in leadership, accounting and financial management. In 2023 she was named among the top ten women CEOs in the real estate sector in Kenya by the Valuable Brands Kenya.
She has a Higher National Diploma in Management Information Systems (MIS), Bachelor of Business Management degree (Finance and Banking) from Moi University and is currently pursuing a Masters in International Economics and Trade from the same institution. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), and is also a licentiate member of the Institute of Management of Information Systems (IMIS).
In her new role as CEO, Sarah will oversee Username Investments’ overall organisational strategy, financial performance, corporate governance, stakeholder management and people leadership.
