HMD Global Oy (HMD), an European smartphone manufacturer, has attained a Platinum EcoVadis 2023 Sustainability Rating for the second year running. The company is in the top 1% of businesses and 98 percent of companies audited for their commitment to sustainable practices in the manufacturing of communications equipment.

HMD Global is known in Kenya for the manufacture and sale of Nokia branded phones. HMD began marketing Nokia-branded smartphones and feature phones on December 2016.
