Lenovo has appointed Alaa Bawab as the new General Manager for Middle East and Africa (MEA) within the Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG).

In his new position as the head of Lenovo’s ISG for the region, Alaa will be responsible for developing the business vision and strategy and overseeing execution and delivery on sales plans. He will also focus on building high level relationships with Lenovo’s customers and partners in the region.

Alaa has over 25 years of experience with leading technology companies. He is an experienced professional, recognized for building the vision and strategy, and motivating teams to deliver results. He joins Lenovo from Huawei, where he was VP of the Enterprise Business Group, Middle East Enterprise Networking, and has previously held roles with Cisco, EMC², HPE and others.

For his education, he graduated with honours from the Electrical Engineering Department in Marquette University, United States of America.
