Fairmont The Norfolk, in Nairobi, will host the “African Inspirations” art exhibition opening on Thursday 25th July and running to Sunday 4th August. The exhibition will feature a unique collection of rare and valuable tribal arts available for purchase and curated by Lisa Christoffersen.

The week-long exhibition aims to provide a platform for different art exhibitors to display their works and content. The exhibition will showcase African tribal art ranging from paintings, to carvings and artefacts, which will be on display at the Cin Cin lounge. The art will perfectly offset the bar’s blend of early 1900s British design with modern art influences.

As such, Art and design lovers are invited to the exhibition’s opening night event taking place at the Cin Cin lounge bar at Fairmont The Norfolk on Thursday 25th July at 6.00pm. The first 100 guests to arrive for the showcase will receive a complimentary welcome cocktail served with a special selection of sweet and savory canapes. Gin and tonic and dark and stormy rum cocktails will also be served during the opening night event.

Axel Hauser, General Manager, Fairmont The Norfolk, had this to say,  “The importance of art in preserving the culture of a society cannot be overlooked. That’s why we are hosting this event, to showcase different works of art that communicate diverse aspects of our life and society. The event is an opportunity not only for Kenyan artists to showcase their works of art, but also to treat our guests to local heritage, offering a home away from home. Fairmont as a brand has a historical connected to the art scene across the globe and we are proud to contribute to the growth of our local arts”.
