The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) has announced that the Presidents of Rwanda, Senegal and DRC to headline the Presidential Dialogue at the 2019 TEF  Entrepreneurship Forum. The two-day event will take place at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja on July 26 – 27, 2019.

The Forum is the culmination of the annual Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme, which this year mentored, trained and seeded over 3,000 young Africans. They were selected from over 216,000 applicants. The event provides a unique opportunity for young women and men, from all 54 African countries, to meet, learn and network with the broader African and global entrepreneurship ecosystem. It is also a critical opportunity for political leaders and policy makers to meet, face to face, a new generation of African business leaders. This year, 134 Kenyan entrepreneurs were selected to be part of the programme, up from the 74 selected last year. Since its inception, the programme will have supported over 480 Kenyan entrepreneurs with training, mentorship and seed capital to grow their business.

For the Forum’s Presidential Dialogue, the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), H.E Félix Tshisekedi will join the President of Rwanda, H.E Paul Kagame and President of Senegal, H.E Macky Sall, in a plenary session that will opens Day 2 of the Forum. The Presidential Dialogue will be moderated by TEF Founder, Tony O. Elumelu.

The speakers expected for this year’s Forum include:

  • Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President of African Development Bank (AFDB);
  • Dr. Awele Elumelu, Trustee, Tony Elumelu Foundation and Founder, Avon Medical;

  • Mrs. Djene Kaba Conde, First Lady, Guinea;
