WorldRemot, a digital money transfer service, has signed a partnership with Safaricom that will enable its customers to send money to direct to M-Pesa. Kenyans abroad are leaders in mobile to mobile remittances and this is what the company wants to tap into.
Through WorldRemit, Kenyans abroad can send money to Kenya through bank deposit, cash pickup, mobile money transfer and as airtime. They work with partners such as KCB Bank, Barclays, Equity Bank, Standard Charatered, national Bank, Co-operative Bank, Upesi Money Transfer, DTB Bank and now Safaricom.
