DT Dobie has launched the new Volkswagen Tiguan SUV and the Amarok pick up with automatic transmission in Kenya. The two vehicles are diesel powered and come with 2 year warranty (unlimited mileage).

The Tiguan comes with a two litre turbo charged 143 horsepower engine plus a seven speed automatic transmission featuring 4Motion permanent four wheel drive. It also has Anti-locking Brake System (ABS), Electronic Brake Pressure Distribution (EBD), stability control, electric parking brake, hill descent assist and LED Day time running lights.

The new Tiguan comes in 2 models

  • Tiguan Comfortline TDI – Ksh. 5.95 Million
  • Tiguan Highline TDI – Ksh. 6.95 Million with full leather seats, 360 view camera, park assist and VW business audio.

The Amarok is a double-cab pick-up and the manual version was already in the market. It has a 2 litre engine delivering 180 horsepower with an eight speed automatic transmission. It has heavy duty suspension with robust under body protection for the front end and the 80 litre fuel tank. It handles off-road really well with 4Motion transmission with a rear differential lock.

The automatic Amarok costs Ksh. 6.55 Million.
