Kenya Wine Agencies Ltd (KWAL) has launched an apple variant of its popular alcoholic drink Kingfisher. The new product, Kingfisher Apple, will retail at Ksh. 160 and comes in a returnable glass bottle. It has 8% alcoholic content.
The original Kingfisher is a strawberry variant and has been produced by KWAL since 1982. It recently got a new look, with the launch of a new bottle. The two drinks are made from fermented fruits.
KWAL was founded in 1969 and it manufactures, imports and distributes wine and spirits. It is majority owned by ICDC, a development finance and investment company that is owned by the Kenyan government.
