Kenyan group Sauti Sol has a chance of making it to the nominees list of Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards. The nominees have been shortlisted but organizers have thrown in a little twist. Fans can now select the 5 “Wild Card†nominee in each category through Twitter.
In the African region for the Best African Act, the 4 confirmed nominees are Davido, Toofan, Goldfish and Diamond. Other wild card contenders are: Tiwa Savage (Nigeria), Mafikizolo (South Africa), Gangs of Ballet (South Africa), Sarkodie (Ghana) and Anselmo Ralph ( Angola).
Fans can tweet and vote for the ‘wild card’ Artist of their choice, using the hashtag #MTVEMA plus the relevant hashtag of your favourite artist from the pre-selected list below.

Voting is open until the 14th of September 2014 at 23:59hrs CAT. The complete list of MTV EMA nominees will then be announced and voting opened on 16th September 2014.
The 2014 MTV EMA will broadcast LIVE on MTV on Sunday 9th November at 22:00 CAT from The Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland (pre-show from 21:00 CAT).
