Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL), through its brand White Cap, has announced a Ksh. 45 million sponsorship for the 2026 WRC Safari Rally. The announcement, made at the Tusker Brew House in Ruaraka, marks the sixth consecutive year the brand has supported the iconic motorsport event.

The 2026 edition is scheduled to take place from March 12th to 15th in the scenic landscapes of Naivasha. This year’s partnership sees White Cap take on the dual role of Official Pouring Partner and Official Responsible Drinking Partner, emphasizing a balance between high-octane entertainment and consumer safety.

In a bid to redefine how spectators engage with the sport, KBL has increased its investment by Ksh. 25 million compared to previous years. Part of these funds will be used to create a paddock-inspired hospitality area at the spectator zones, drawing inspiration from the luxury setups of Formula 1 circuits.

Strategically located against the backdrop of the legendary Miti Mbili jump, the fan zone will feature:

  • Elevated viewing decks for optimal sightlines of the high-flying action.
  • Exclusive zones designed for premium comfort.
  • Live on-screen coverage, ensuring fans don’t miss a second of the dust-billowing drama across the circuit.

KBL Managing Director Andrew Kilonzo noted that the increased funding is a testament to the company’s belief in Kenya’s potential to become a diversified global sports hub.

“The increased investment will go towards WRC event logistics and the elevation of the overall village experience,” Kilonzo stated. “We are witnesses to the impact the Safari Rally has had on our sporting landscape for decades. It aligns with the national ambition to transform Kenya from a traditional athletics powerhouse into a multi-sport commercialized hub by 2030.”

Beyond the engines and adrenaline, Kilonzo emphasized that the platform would be used to champion environmental sustainability and water conservation, ensuring the rally’s natural playground remains intact for future generations.

For the first time since the Safari Rally’s return to the WRC calendar, the shakedown will take place in Naivasha at a new location in Nawisa, adjacent to the service park.

Jerry Orode, WRC Safari Rally Kenya Representative, highlighted the accessibility this provides for fans: “This is a historic moment. Rally enthusiasts can now watch the cars as they undergo final preparations right next to the service park. With 20 special stages covering 350 competitive kilometers, we are set to deliver an exceptional experience.”
