Hyatt Regency Nairobi Westlands has announced that it has appointed Moshi Perera as General Manager, responsible for overseeing the operations and management. The hotel officially opened earlier this year.
Moshi has more than 30 years of international hospitality experience across eight countries. He brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to Hyatt Regency Nairobi Westlands.
In addition to his hotel leadership role, Moshi has been appointed Area Vice President for Hyatt across Sub-Saharan Africa, where he will be instrumental in driving the strategic vision and growth of Hyatt’s expanding presence across the region.
Moshi began his hospitality career in 1991 at London’s iconic Grosvenor House Hotel and made his leadership debut with Hyatt in 1998. He later took on leadership positions at Hyatt Regency Dubai and The Galleria Residences in 2003. Since then, he has held senior leadership roles within several other hospitality brands, including Forte Hotels, Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, Sankara Nairobi, Fairmont & Raffles, and most recently, the Shangri-La Group.

Hyatt Regency Nairobi Westlands features 219 rooms that include a selection of 147 guestrooms and suites and 72 apartments. They are equipped with a 65” flat-screen smart TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, and deluxe bath amenities for a pampering experience. They also come with an in-room coffee maker and tea station, with a minifridge and workspace.
Hyatt Regency Nairobi Westlands offers meeting spaces suitable for boardroom discussions, banquets and large conferences. The top floor of the property features a ballroom. With more than 21,520 square feet (2,000 square meters) of available space, the property offers 10 distinct meeting spaces with audio-visual equipment and unique workstations.
