The 2024 Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) Oktobafest kicked off this past weekend in Nairobi and Eldoret with activations at Enkare, Kitengela and Timba XO, Eldoret. The activations doubled as a celebration of beer and culture as well as a tribute to our national heroes in light of Mashujaa Day.

Revelers at both locations were treated to a beer and culture festival featuring KBL’s rich portfolio of beers and live performances by top music acts. In Kitengela, Musicians Les Wanyika took revellers down memory lane with their soulful performances of timeless hits like Sina Makosa, Nimaru and Barua Yako among many others. Rapper Khaligraph Jones, in true OG fashion brought the house down hit after hit at Timba XO in Eldoret.

TBM Band took to the stage after Les Wanyika, delivering an energetic performance of contemporary and Afrobeat tunes. This was the perfect build-up for the evening as beer lovers and Oktobafest fans took the time to sip and enjoy as they sung along to the tunes. Timba XO served high energy party vibes with MC Nick The Trend, DJ Pierra, DJ Tibz and resident DJ Aleckie keeping the party going and the beer flowing.

The Mashujaa Weekend activations in Nairobi and Eldoret mark the beginning a series of regional activations lined up across the country. As part of celebrating the month of beer, there will be a range of offers and experiences to reward beer consumers across Kenya. These promotions will include discounts, online flash sales and exclusive experiences, all aimed at celebrating Kenya’s rich beer culture.

Commenting on the events, Brigid Wambua, Senior Brand Manager for Tusker said, “Bringing Oktobafest to the regions has turned out to be an amazing experience for both the brand and our consumers. We have enjoyed giving consumers the opportunity to show us how they do beer and culture in Nairobi and Eldoret and they have in turn enjoyed a more intimate brand experience tailored to their specific cultural nuances. The reception in the regions has been amazing and we look forward to replicating equally amazing experiences for other regions in the coming weeks.”
