Smartphone company Infinix has announced that it has launched the Infinix Smart 8 in the Kenyan market.

The new smartphone is the successor to the Infinix Smart 7, which was introduced in the market in March this year. The older model is powered by an octa-core Unisoc SC9863A1 SoC and packs a 5,000mAh battery that offers up to 39 hours of calling time on a single charge according to the company.

The Infinix Smart 8 will be available in Kenya in two variations i.e. 128GB internal storage with upto 8GB expandable RAM and 64 GB internal storage plus 4 GB RAM. The Infinix SMART 8 handset arrived with significant upgrades over the preceding model but is still be a budget model.

The Infinix Smart 8 comes with dual rear cameras and quad flash. It comes with a 13 Megapixel main camera and a 8 Megapixel selfie camera.

The Infinix Smart 8 comes with a 6.6-inch HD+ Sunlight Readable display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a peak brightness level of 500 nits. The phone supports USB Type-C connectivity and come with UFS 2.2 inbuilt storage and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a first for a smartphone in its price category.

The Infinix Smart 8 128 GB storage + 8 GB RAM will retail in Kenya at Ksh 15,999. It will be available in three colours i.e. Timber Black, Shiny Gold, and Crystal Green. The phone is available for sale countrywide in Infinix retail stores and on online platforms.
