Samsung Electronics has announced that it has launched its newest device, the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, in the Kenyan market. They have also announced that they have launched other devices in the market, that includes the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE, Samsung S9 FE+, and the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will be available for sale in Kenya at Ksh. 99,999. It is available in three colours i.e. Mint, Cream, Graphite, and Purple.

“At Samsung, we are committed to bringing world-class innovation to everyone through epic mobile experiences that fit their lifestyle,” said TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile experience Business at Samsung Electronics.

“Our new FE devices are packed with crowd-pleasing premium capabilities that, on their own or as part of a connected ecosystem, let Galaxy users maximise their creativity and productivity.”

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE borrows the form factor of the fantastic Galaxy S23+, but of course, omits a few of the high-end features to reach a much more affordable price. It stays true to the iconic S series design with its new floating camera and premium finish protected with IP68 water and dust resistance for an even sleeker display.

The phone comes with a 6.4 inch Dynamic full-HD+ AMOLED 2X display offering a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1

The triple rear floating camera system of the Galaxy S23 FE includes a 50-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultrawide lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera. There is a centre aligned hole punch cutout at the top of the display that houses a 10-megapixel front camera sensor for selfies and video calls. Well, this is a huge downgrade over the 32-megapixel front camera that we saw on the Galaxy S21 FE model.

The Galaxy S23 FE comes with a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W wired fast charging via a USB Type-C port. According to the company, charging the phone from zero to up to 50 percent should take users around 30 minutes.

Galaxy S23 FE also features a wide variety of recycled materials found in both internal and external device components, including pre-consumer recycled aluminum and glass, and post-consumer recycled plastic sourced from discarded fishing nets, water barrels, and PET bottles.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE series and Samsung Buds FE will be available for sale at authorized Samsung dealer stores and online platforms from October 27th 2023.
