Folk Fusion has announced that musician Bensoul will headline its next event on March 25 at the Havillah Cornerstone Ranch along the Northern Bypass, Ruaka.

This is the first event of 2022 and also the first told be hosted at Havillah Cornerstone Ranch, the new home for the event. Apart from Bensoul, the event will feature performances by Ayrosh, Coster Ojwang, Charisma, Ally Fresh, Laiso Boy, DJ Mura, Njerae among others.

Themed Rain Dance Edition, the event will also serve as an invitation for folks to collectively gather and summon rain the African way, through expressive and uninhibited dance.

For this edition, Folk Fusion has partnered with EABL. Each ticket purchased will be redeemable for either a mug of Tusker Draught or a bottle of Rockshore Tropical Beer.

Folk Fusion released its 2023 schedule which promises 3 other editions in June, September, and December, with an annual pass ticket on sale here folkfusion.hustlesasa.shop/22971. The other events will be on June 24, September 23 and December 9.

Speaking on 2023 takeover plans, Folk Fusion event manager, Simon Maina chimes, “We’ve held 5 editions since 2018 and are now keen to grow the event to new heights. This growth journey started last year’s August edition which was headlined by Sauti Sol’s Savara. Folks should look out for more exciting surprises this year.”

Folk Fusion is a cultural event that was founded by fusion musician Ayrosh in 2018. The event aims to mobilize artists to collaborate, tackle topical issues and embrace diversity in language and culture. Artists of different disciplines converge at Folk Fusion to showcase, promote and sell their art. The event was initially hosted at 910 James Gichuru and thereafter Levilla Gardens in Kikuyu.
