The Infinix Zero 5 was launched in the country with high expectations, with it being the company’s first 5G phone to be launched in the country.

Here are some of the key features of the phone.

Design and screen

The Infinix Zero 5 comes with a uni-curve design with a curved back using a composite material that the company says mimics the look and feel of glass. The body of the phone is thin and light which makes it comfortable to hold for users.

It comes in three colours i.e. Cosmic Black, Skylight Orange and Horizon Blue.

At the front, the phone comes with a 6.78 inch FHD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The selfie camera is located is at the top of the screen while the fingerprint reader is on the power button on the side. As usual, the phone comes with dual nano-SIM cards and a slot for external MicroSD storage.

Performance

The phone runs with Android 11 plus XOS 10. It will get an Android 12 upgrade later in the year. The XOS 10 comes with a refreshed home page and redesigned icons. Users are also able to organize their apps with just one click with the X-Folderand also includes the X-Assistant, a smart assistant that intelligently sends reminders, notifications and shares information. Other features include MOL translation engine, Smart Panel, Power Marathon, XClone, Monster Game Kit, and Privacy Tracker.

Infinix Zero 5G comes with MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor and Mali-G68 GPU plus 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

It has extended RAM technology extends the RAM up to 11GB with an additional 5G virtual RAM. This comes in handy in case you exhaust the available RAM with heavy apps or video games.

The processor and the RAM available (plus the extended one) should be able to help users to be able to perform all the tasks they need without any problem.

Network

The Infinix Zero 5G supports up-to 13 5G bands. This means that it can support Safaricom’s 5G which is available at various sites in the country.

Cameras

The Infinix Zero 5G comes with a 48MP triple camera setup with a 13MP telephoto lens with up to 30X digital zoom and a 2MP depth sensor. It also has a 16MP selfie camera with Dual Flash Light.

The camera has fearures such as: AI cam, 48MP mode, Beauty, Bokeh, Telephoto, SuperNight, Video, Slow Motion, Pro, Panorama, Video SuperMacro, TimeLapse, and Documents.

Video can be shot at 4K 30fps, 1080P at either 60 or 30fps and 720P at 30fps. Both Bokeh video and Ultra Steady mode can be shot at 1080p at 30fps.

Battery

Infinix Zero 5G comes with a large 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. You can be able to charge the phone from 0-30% in 30 minutes. A full charge will take 2 hours.

The phone should be able to last 9.4 hours of gaming, 27 days on standby, 22 hours of calling and 152 hours of music playback.
