Parapet Cleaning Services CEO and Rotary District Governor (9212) Nominee Alex Nyaga hosted a black-tie dinner at The TradeMark Hotel, Village Market on 1st November 2019 in support of the Rotary Polio End Game Campaign. The campaign started in September and will run up until mid-November 2019.

Rotary International commenced the global fight against polio in 1978 and was later joined by World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and United Nations Children’s Fund. In the 41 years of this global project, they have managed to annually vaccinate 250- 400 million children bringing down the affected countries to two globally.

“Rotary International District 9212 has launched the Polio Endgame Campaign that aims to raise USD 1,000,000, which will be matched by Rotary International and Bill & Melinda Gates – 6 times to make our contribution USD. 6,000,000. With this contribution it means we shall be able to immunize 18,000,000 children around the world. Donations can be sent through PAYBILL Number 891300 account name POLIO,” said Alex.

The event which was hosted the Rotary Club of Lang’ata members and distinguished guests was emceed by songstress June Gachui as DJ Pinye provided the entertainment. Prestige On-Trade Manager William Grants East Africa Mr. Kariuki Mukii treated the attendees to a whisky tasting experience in which the Glenfiddich 21 was on auction.
