Accor and Jit Group have announced that they launch the first MGallery Hotel Collection property in Nairobi, Kenya. Accor signed an agreement with Jit Group to manage the upcoming hotel.

The hospitality group has signed an agreement with Jit Group to launch the 105 room MGallery Gigiri, a boutique hotel located in Gigiri.

MGallery Gigiri will feature 105 rooms and suites; four restaurants, including an all-day dining venue, a signature dining experience, a pool bar, and a rooftop restaurant and bar; meeting rooms and a business centre; and wellness facilities spanning a gym, pool and spa.

The new hotel will open in 2021 and will increase the number of Accor managed hotel brands in Kenya.  Accor is currently managing hotels already operating under the Fairmont, ibis Styles and Mövenpick brands. The first Pullman hotel in Nairobi is set to open in Q4 2019. The company’s Kenya portfolio includes Fairmont Nairobi, Fairmont Mara Safari Club, Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, Ibis Styles Nairobi and Movenpick Nairobi.

“We have set our sights on strategic portfolio growth, targeting Africa’s key gateway cities, and have identified Nairobi, regarded as East Africa’s economic, financial and transport hub, as one of our priority markets for development,” said Mark Willis, CEO, Accor Middle East & Africa.
