Safaricom has today launched Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and Video over LTE (ViLTE) on its network. The new services is available to all Safaricom customers that have a VoLTE-supporting 4G smartphones and a 4G enabled SIM Card. According to the company, the new service will be offered at no additional cost and will cost the same as normal calls.
This is an interesting new development and for those with VoLTE supporting 4G smartphones they will be able to enjoy the service. In Kenya, these are the 4G devices that are able to access and use Safaricom VoLTE and ViLTE.
