The Next Einstein Forum (NEF), an initiative of the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) in partnership with Robert Bosch Stiftung, announced the launch of NEF Africa Science Week in Nairobi, on Tuesday, June 27th. Sylvia Mukasa, NEF Ambassador, is the leader of the event.

The goal is to raise public awareness on the importance of science and technology and the targeted audience is children of school going age and the general public. The Africa Science Week will take place in 13 countries and Kenya will be first country it will be held in.

The activities lined up during the week long event include; hackathons, a Women in Science Day and panels on Agriculture and technology with a focus on financial planning and Agriculture as an enterprise.
