Chinese phone manufacturer Infinix launched their latest phone brand, the Infinix Note 3 (X601), in the Kenyan market at an event last night that was held at the Intercontinental Hotel. The Note 3, which is a phablet, is a successor to the Note 2 (X600) which was launched in Kenya in December 2015.
The Note 3 is powered by Android 6.0 (plus customized XOS operating system). It comes with an Octa-Core 1.3GHz processor, 6 inch HD (1080×1920 pixels) touchscreen, 16GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, 13 Megapixel back camera and 5 Megapixel front camera. It comes with a 4500mAH battery which Infinix claims can keep charge for about 200 minutes. It also has comes with a fingerprint scanner.
The Note 3 that was launched is a 3G version. Infinix has promised to launch the 4G version, which will come with 3G RAM, later in the year.
The phone is retailing at Ksh. 14,999 and is available exclusively from Jumia.co.ke.
