Tecno’s newest flagship device, the Tecno Phantom 5 will be launched in Kenya on Tuesday September 22nd. The Phantom 5 succeeds the Phantom Z which did very well in Kenya.
The Phantom 5 is a 4G device that runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) operating system. It comes with a 5.5 inch HD screen (1080 X 1920 pixels), 1.5GHz Octa-core cortex processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 13 Megapixel back camera, 8 Megapixel front camera and 3000mAh unremovable battery. The phone also has a fingerprint scanner and dolby speakers. It comes pre-installed with some apps, Google apps, Facebook, Whatsapp and some games.

The phone will retail at about Ksh. 39,000 at launch.
Tecno are offering customers the chance to pre-order the Tecno Phantom 5. These customers will be the first to get the phone when it launches. To pre-order, one needs to go to Rucom Mama Ngina, Airtel Express Moi Avenue and Dixon shop Kenyatta Avenue to place an order. They will need to pay Ksh. 1,000.
To further sweeten the pre-order deal Tecno has promised to give away two free Phantom 5 phones to the customers that pre-order. In essence all the customers who win will pay for the phone is just Ksh. 1,000.
