Great news for those who plan on taking part in this year’s restaurant week, participants will be getting a free Magnum cocktail at the Nairobi Restaurant Week 2015. With Magnum Cream Liqueur from Liquid Africa being the official sponsor this year, one will get a complimentary Magnum cocktail, or a glass of Magnum on the rocks if you prefer yours served plain on the rocks. To add to the great news, a wine and cocktail menu featuring Cruz vodka and magnum cream liqueur will be available with each menu this year.

Magnum is a superior whisky cream liqueur, made with award winning single malt Scotch whisky from one of Scotland’s finest boutique distilleries, blended and balanced with premium Dutch cream.

It is sourced, blended and bottled by the BenRiach Distillery, founded in 1898, and has been conceived and created by virtuoso master blenders in Edinburgh, Scotland. Magnum’s whisky is matured in American oak casks to produce a rare, lingering, sophisticated taste, made with water drawn through the rock lying deep below the Speyside distillery.

It is then packaged in  striking, unique stainless steel quick chill flask, and is best served chilled over ice for a premium serve.

The guys from Eat Out Kenya also shares the recipe to the complimentary Magnum Martini cocktail. It includes

  • 2 Shots Magnum Cream Liqueur
  • 2 Parts Milk
  • Chocolate syrup to taste
  • Shake over ice & pour into martini glass.

Magnum’s superior quality has already been recognised with a Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits competition 2014.

This year’s Restaurant Week will take place from January 22nd 2015 to February 1st 2015. Participating restaurants will have special menus with fixed prices at Ksh. 1,500 and Ksh. 2,000.
