In what can only be good news for Kenyan whisky lovers, the American Bulleit Frontier Whisky Bourbon was launched in Kenya by East African Breweries Limited (EABL). Beershara was part of the exclusive group of whisky lovers invited for the launch and tasting that was hosted by Diageo Global Brand Ambassador Tim Etherington-Judge and graced by and Diageo Luxury Ambassador Douglas Duncanson.
Kenya is the first market in Africa to have Bulleit and Tim Judge explained that this was due to its mass consumer based market and would serve as a good place to start in an effort to break into the wider African market. With the news that Kenyans down half a billion worth of whisky, you can see why Diageo chose it as a good breaking ground.

Its recommended retail price is 2,990 which compares favorably to other premium whiskies in the market.
The 7 year old bourbon has high rye content (thus its spicy character) and rich, oak aromas (due to it being aged in new American White Oak barrels) with a hint of vanilla. As is the case with all the Kentucky straight bourbons, Bulleit is made with pure limestone filtered water.
