Samuel Wachiuri better known as Rabicon Pious is a 19 year old upcoming gospel artist. He is a former street boy who has struggled to bring himself up and prosper despite life’s many challenges. He chose the name Rabicon Pious because Rabicon stands for a decision no one can change and Pious means self-respect to God. The name reminds him of always having self respect to God, a decision no one can change.
His interest in music started when he was in form two. He had no money to fund his passon, but by the grace of God, he got a sponsor to support his dreams. He currently has 3 videos to his name. When it comes to music, he draws the lyrics form his life expereinces. One of his songs “nobody†talks briefly about his life and how people used to mock him while in the street. Samuel talks a lot of how God led him to a better place and guided him to sing and get off the street. He terms the 3 videos and being able to stay in school as his biggest successes so far.
Samuel talks of a few challenges he faces in music production. As a new and upcoming artist in the market, he has financial and marketing challenges. He is yet to make the needed networks to push his music to great heights. He also comes form a poor background and cannot afford to spend money on advertising or extravagant marketing.
If he could change one thing about the music industry, it would be to have all artists sing for passion as they preach positivity and not have money being their only drive.
