Samsung Electronics East Africa has officially launched the Galaxy A17 smartphone and the Galaxy Buds Core in Kenya, bringing new smartphone and audio innovations to a wider range of customers. The Buds Core are available now, and the Galaxy A17 will be available starting September 22, 2025.

“Giving more Kenyans simple, helpful technology is a priority,” said Eveline Munene, Head of Product and Marketing for Samsung Electronics East Africa. “The Galaxy A17 puts Gemini within reach through a dedicated side button for quick AI help, while the Buds Core deliver clear, reliable audio for everyday use.”

The Galaxy A17 is designed to make powerful features more accessible. It includes a dedicated Gemini access button, allowing users to get instant AI help for writing, searching, translation, and other tasks with a single press.

The phone comes with two options, 4+128 GB and 6+128 GB, and is built to last a full day on a single charge. Its design is clean and user-friendly, and Samsung is providing long-term support with up to six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the device.

The Galaxy A17 will be available at authorized Samsung dealers and through financing partners Watu and M-KOPA. The 4+128 GB model is priced at Ksh. 20,800, and the 6+128 GB model is Ksh. 22,600. It comes in three stylish colors: Black, Blue, and Gray.

The Galaxy Buds Core focuses on delivering great value and usability. They feature active noise cancellation for balanced audio during music, podcasts, or calls and include multiple microphones for clear voice capture.

With an IP54 rating for protection against dust and splashes, the Buds Core offer a secure and comfortable fit for long listening sessions. They also support Galaxy features like Interpreter for on-the-spot translations and Auto Switch for seamless pairing across your Galaxy devices.

The Buds Core are available now for a recommended retail price of Ksh. 5,100 and come in Bold Black and Fresh White colours.
