The Indian High Commission in Kenya has announced that it has reduced the cost of its visas for Kenyan tourists travelling to India.
Nowadays, Kenyans can be able to apply for a visa for travel to India online (E-Visa) for both leisure and business. It is the most convenient way to get a visa to the country.
India has introduced new visas for Kenyan tourists and also introduced new ones. Kenyans will now be able to get a 1 month e-Visa for only $25 (Ksh. 2,500). The visa fee will additionally be reduced to $10 (Ksh. 1,000) between April to June every year.
The country has also introduced a 5 year tourist visa with multiple entry at a cost of $80 (Ksh. 8,000). They have also reduced the cost of the 1 year tourist visa to $40 (Ksh. 4,000) from the previous $80 (Ksh. 8,000).
Kenyans travelling to India can apply for a Visa online (EVisa) at indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa. To apply for the visa, you need the following;
- Valid passport – all applicants needs to have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months. You have to scan the passport’s information page and upload it on the online visa platform in PDF format during the application process.
- Digital passport photo – you need have a digital passport photo that was taking recently and that is in JPEG format.
- E-mail address – The visa will be sent you on email once it is ready so you have to have an active email address. The visa processing time is 5 days. You also have to print the visa before you travel.
- Payment – The India online visa platform accepts payment methods such as credit or debit card, PayPal, Alipay, and WeChat.
