The 2018 Kenya Photography Awards has been launched and the competition is also accepting entries. The competition is accepting submissions between 26th March 2018 to 19th May 2018.
Kenyan photographers can submit their photos for consideration by judges here photoawards.co.ke/secure-platform. They will need to create an account before submitting their photos.
They are accepting entries in seven different categories i.e.:
- Creative
- Portraiture
- News
- Sports
- Nature
- Daily Life
- Humanitarian/Documentary
After the submission phase closes, the judges will deliberate and announce nominees in the different categories. Below is the full timeline of this year’s awards:
- Submission phase – March 26th – 19th May 2018
- Judging phase – 21 – 27 May 2018
- Nominee announcement – 28th May 2018
- Awards ceremony – 10th June 2018
The Kenya Photography Awards are organized by the Photographers Association of Kenya (PAK) and PAWA254. Previous winners of the competition include: Mwangi Kirubi, Georgina Goodwin, Larry Asego, Alice Oldenburg, Peter Ndung’u and Siegmund Kamau.
