General Motors East Africa (GMEA) yesterday launched the new Chevrolet Trailblazer 2017 model. The Trailblazer builds on Chevrolet’s rich legacy to produce a stylish vehicle that combines a commanding presence with sporty sophistication.
The SUV comes with some technological innovations that ensure that the driver has an awesome driving experience. These include; the MyLink system which combines navigation and an infotainment system that can be activated through voice command. Seamless smart phone integration allows one to make a phone or even sms via voice command. To ensure that you enjoy the full functionality of the car, GMEA will be giving away a free iPhone with every purchase of the car. One can also to be able to set their preferences like music, seat position, temperature among others.
It also comes packed with an array of safety features which has seen it get a 5 star rating for safety by the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) and New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia (ASEAN NCAP) safety bodies. These features include; lane departure warning, forward collision alert, panic brake assist, anti rolling protection, a tyre pressure monitoring system, rear and front parking assist, rear cross traffic alert and side blind zone warning.
The car comes with 2.8L Duramax diesel engine capable of producing 200 horsepower. The 2017 Trailblazer will retail at Kshs. 5.9 million.
