Huawei has today launched their latest flagship device, the Mate 8, in Kenya. The Huawei Mate 8 is a phablet that also has 4G.
The Mate 8 rungs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) + a customized UI from Huawei, the EMUi 4.0. It comes with a 6 inch LCD touchscreen, Quad-core 2.3 GHz Cortex-A72 + quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex A53 processor, 4GB RAM & 64GB storage (3GB RAM & 32GB storage is also available), 16 Megapixel back camera and 8 Megapixel front camera. It comes with a 4000mAh battery that Huawei claims can last two straight days with a single charge. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor.
With the Mate 8, Huawei is targeting the enterprise market which can take advantage of the device’s security features and long battery life. Business users needing to access their office data on the move can do so on the device. It is also possible to wipe the phone’s data remotely in case it gets lost.
