Insure Afrika and Resolution Insurance have launched has online motor PSV insurance product targeted at taxis. The product, dubbed Next Taxi Insurance, will be run by Insure Afrika, an insurance agency.
To use the service, car owners will have to log onto the platform nextinsurance.co.ke/motor-psv-insurance, provide driver details and car specifications. The platform will then provide a quotation and then the customer can pay via Mobile money or debit/credit cards. The insurance sticker will then be delivered to the customer.
The service isn’t terribly innovative but it would be nice to see more insurance companies enabling their clients to purchase their products remotely.
