Moët & Chandon launched the Möet Nectar Imperial on June 15th at Sankara at the Möet Party Day. Founded in 1743, Moët & Chandon is the Maison that introduced champagne to the world. The rousing success of the first Moët Party Day in June 2016 held in 45 countries, inspired the Maison Moet & Chandon to confirm it as an annual rendezvous. Over 80 countries joined in the celebration this year, that also saw the launch of Möet Nectar.
Moët Nectar Impérial’s aromas are generous and rich with tropical fruits such as pineapple and mango, and the sweet spice of cinnamon and vanilla. On the palate, it is a succulent blend of creaminess with the freshness of grapefruit. The assemblage of Moët Nectar Impérial is built upon the structure of Pinot Noir (40 to 50%), the flesh of Meunier (30 to 40%) and the freshness of Chardonnay (10 to 20%). The use of 20 to 30% of carefully selected reserve wines completes the assemblage and enhances its intensity, richness and consistency.
Kings and Queens of Möet Nectar
For the past month, Moët & Chandon have been rcognizing individuals who have made great strides in different fields by crowning them Kings and Queens of Moët Nectar: Dr. Chris Kirubi and Ali Oumarou were crowned as the Kings of Moët Nectar with Olive Gachara and Pinky Ghelani crowned as the Queens of Moët Nectar.
“Friendship, sharing and generosity are part of Moët’s values and spirit. Moët & Chandon is about connecting people around the world, forging strong relationships. As we celebrate the introduction of Moët Nectar in Kenya, we wanted to celebrate our Kings and Queens of Moët Nectar as the new “Friends of Moët” as well as encouraging all life enthusiasts to seize each moment and celebrate achievements as they happen. Life is full of big occasions, but it’s the little ones that make us feel good every day of the year. Today on the Moët Party Day we celebrate them all, we make them all become a #MoetMoment” said Alexandre Helaine, Market Manager Moët Hennessy Eastern Africa.
The Möet Party was held at the Sankara Hotel rooftop and was attended by Nairobi’s who’s who including Shaffie Weru, Jeff Koinange, Janet Mbugua, Betty Kyallo and Lucia Musau among others.
