Samsung has today launched the Activ dualwash washing machine in Kenya. The Activ dualwash comes with a built-in sink that a user can use to pre-soak very dirty or stained clothes and to hand wash delicate clothing items like silk scarfs and underwear.
The Activ dualwash washing machine has a magic dispenser feature that dissolves the detergent evenly before it gets in contact with the clothes. It also comes with Samsung’s Wobble technology that prevents your clothes from knotting and a filter for removing loose dirt, fibre and lint. The washing machine can be controlled via an app called The Smart Washer App which allows users to control it remotely.
The Activ dualwash washing machine comes with a 10-year warranty on the motor of the 16Kg washing machine. It retails at Ksh. 99,995 (16Kg) and 70,995 (13Kg).
How the built in sink works
- Soak and Scrub – Place soiled items into the built-in sink and add water by pushing the Water Jet button. Soak delicates/ pre-soak soiled clothes.
- Drop & Wash – Once pre-soaking is done, lift the built-in sink. Clothes will drop into the machine’s smooth and diamond drum below while draining the pre-soak water. Turn on the washing cycle.
