Samantha Cristoforetti
The International Space Station on Tuesday passed over Kenya, specifically over Lake Turkana.
The news was relayed to earth via Twitter by Astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti, an Italian European Space Agency astronaut, Italian Air Force pilot and engineer. She also happens to be the first Italian woman in space.
