The Netherlands embassy in Kenya has announced the following changes in the visa application procedure for Kenyans wishing to travel to that country from 1st March 2015.

1. Processing time

All visa applications submitted at the Netherlands Embassy in Nairobi will now be sent to the Regional Service Organization (RSO) in Pretoria for further processing. From then on processing of a visa application will take at least 10 working days (2 weeks).

2. Visa requirements

All the required supporting documents, including invitations from The Netherlands, should be originals. Only complete visa applications will be accepted.

3. Online appointment system

The Embassy will introduce an online appointment system for visa applicants in the short term. The system will be open for booking of appointments as of 15 March 2015. After 1 April 2015 visa applications will only be submitted by appointment. Applicants are advised to book an appointment on a date at least four weeks before the travel date. The online system will be live on the Embassy website kenya.nlembassy.org from 15th March 2015 .
