Chase Bank Kenya has launched a first-of-its-kind mobile platform dubbed Mfukoni. The platform can be used on both USSD and Smart Phones as an APP that will enable customers to open investment accounts, pay KRA tax, make cheque book requisitions, cheque deposits among other banking products and services securely and without any hurdles by simply using their phones

Mfukoni works on all internet-enabled smartphones as well as USSD through *275# and enables customers to login in and access their accounts and perform banking transactions stress-free. The mobile platform will also be accessible to non–Chase customers seeking information about the bank’s offering, enabling them to apply and start enjoying services offered.

The mobile platform is available for download from App stores including; IOS, Blackberry OS and Android ones as well as USSD. Customers using phones that are not data –enabled can access the service by dialing *275#, upon which they will follow simple steps to access and enjoy the bank’s services.

He added that through retail banking strategy, the Bank is keen to reach out to the unbanked population, particularly entrepreneurs who are ardent for financial inclusion. He disclosed that Chase Bank is keen to include digital strategy in their business model as part of its brand promise and commitment to deliver innovative products that meet its customers’ ever-changing needs. He explained that it is important that the industry appreciates and understands the macro-environment forces that contribute largely to customers’ intention and need to use mobile phones as a tool that provides instant information and banking services.
