Intel has launched its 4th generation Intel Core processors at DEMO Africa 2013. These new processors will raise the bar on user experience by providing consumers with devices that meet the ever-changing needs from communicating, to gaming, and most of all increased battery life.
The PCs processors will deliver the biggest power savings, giving users over 9 hours of battery life coupled with excellent performance as well twice the graphics capability. This will result in 50 percent increase in battery life in active workloads over the previous generation.
The devices also showcase enhanced progress in bringing human-like senses through addition of touch, voice and facial recognition.
Speaking at the event, Chris Mwangi, Intel East Africa’s Field Applications Engineer said “Consumers’ needs are constantly evolving and they are always looking for devices that allow them to function effectively and more efficiently depending on how they use the devices. With the new Intel 4th generation core processors, we are providing them with an opportunity to have this. From increased battery life, to different form factors and enhanced graphics, the Intel 4th generation core processors will provide them with the best of both worlds.â€
For the avid gamers and gamer community, the 4th generation processors will also have built-in graphics that will deliver discrete-level performance enabled via the processors’ Intel Iris graphics that bring the Ultrabook and other mobile PCs to life.
Select Ultrabooks powered by 4th generation Intel Core processors will deliver the Intel performance people expect combined with the mobility and responsiveness of a tablet, making them the premium, ultra-versatile 2-in-1 devices. With touch capability and a keyboard, the system adapts to the user and also offers full application compatibility.
The 2-in-1 and other Intel-based devices will also showcase enhanced progress in bringing human like senses through the addition of touch, voice and facial recognition and other technologies
“Anyone in the market for a new device in the upcoming months will notice that the new devices coming into the shops now look and behave very differently from the familiar PC we’re used to: from sleek, good looking 2 in 1 devices with all-day battery life to great improvements in graphics and touch screen interaction. The PC has been transformed and it wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing innovations hidden away inside in the 4th generation Intel Core series of processors†said Mwangi.
