In a bid to diversify their revenue streams, CNN has launched CNN money transfers and CNN Learn English. The new business diversification is meant to expand upon CNN International Commercial’s core business areas of advertising solutions, content sales and syndication, marketing and research.

CNN money transfer has been launched in partnership with award winning international payments and forex specialist’s Moneycorp. The money transfer will be manged by Moneycorp and will offer consumers a highly competitive service to transfer money without paying higher exchange rates often charged by mainstream banks. The money transfer solution will be available on both desktop and mobile devices.

CNN is also working with Germany based learning solutions provider Papagei.com to launch a dynamic English language learning service, CNN Learn English. It will be available on desktop and mobile and the subscription based service will facilitate English language learning by overlaying CNN video content with Papagei’s unique translation and learning aids. The content will be focused on finance and business spanning a range of Subject matters and a variety of dialects. The service will be available globally to consumers directly or corporates.

Rani Raad, Chief Commercial Officer at CNN stated that the initiatives were more steps in their ambition to take the CNN brand to wider audiences by entering into smart partnerships that enhance their footprint. He continued to state that in a changing media landscape the partnerships added new revenue streams to their business.
