Effective September 1 2015, foreigners who require a Kenyan visa to travel to Kenya will have to apply for a visa online. All applications will have to made by via the eCitizen website ecitizen.go.ke and thereafter payments will be made via Debit or Credit card. The e-Visa application process will take about two (2) working days and will be subject to the rules of the Kenyan Immigration Department.
Foreigners travelling to Kenya will be required to register as a visitor on the eCitizen website. After a successful application of the visa one will be able to print out the visa and present it to Immigration officers once they reach Kenya.
Foreigners travelling to Kenya were previously given visas upon arrival in the country.
