Budget airline, Fly 748, has announced that it has suspended operating domestic flights in Kenya effective 1st March 2023.

The company, which trades as 748 Air Services Limited, started its domestic flight service on May 20, 2021. It operated flights to local destinations including Mombasa, Malindi, Diani, Kisumu and Maasai Mara.

The airline attributed the decision to stop domestic flights to a change in business strategy. The company will now focus on its other business which is humanitarian aviation, which is currently operating in 7 African countries.

All their domestic scheduled commercial flights will be suspended effective 1st March 2023. The company’s Airline Reservation System (ARS) will however remain open up to June 30 2023 to allow processing of refunds for all the advance tickets paid.
